Synergistic Research Foundation SX Ethernet Cable

Synergistic Research Foundation SX Ethernet Cable

Foundation SX Ethernet is intended for a wired network connection in a music-streaming system, such as a network switch to a streamer or a router to a compatible server. It should be selected as a network cable, not as a digital coaxial or USB cable.

Manufacturer design and technology

Synergistic Research publishes an eight-conductor, four-twisted-pair construction using 23AWG solid copper, polyethylene dielectric and a silver-Mylar shielding/ground-plane arrangement. It describes a maximum frequency of 500MHz for the cable construction. The manufacturer applies an SRX-derived graphene-associated UEF Matrix Shield treatment and a staged high-voltage conditioning process. These are presented as addressing electrical interference around compatible networked audio equipment, not modifying the underlying digital music files.

Key features

• Part of the Synergistic Research Foundation SX hi-fi cable family
• Manufacturer-specified UEF electromagnetic shield treatment
• SRX-derived factory conditioning process
• Designed for a specific electrical or audio interface rather than universal connection
• Full UK retail pricing shown in the existing length/connector variants

How to choose the right cable

Confirm the link is Ethernet at both ends and that the cable and connected devices support the required network speed. Check the route, port access and sufficient length without stretching. The router, switch, streamer and NAS each have different roles; an Ethernet cable cannot replace any of their functionality. Kronos AV can help assess your network-audio setup.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ethernet deliver different music bits through a premium cable? Ethernet uses data-integrity mechanisms; the manufacturer's listening claims relate to the broader electrical environment of the connected system.

Kronos AV specialist advice

We can review your source, amplification or loudspeakers and confirm the correct connector format, cable length and any special-order options before purchase. Synergistic Research's claimed listening benefits depend on the complete system and installation. The currently listed UK prices and variants remain unchanged.
