Synergistic Research Atmosphere Excite Level 2 Digital RCA

Synergistic Research Atmosphere Excite Level 2 Digital RCA

The Atmosphere Excite Level 2 Digital RCA is a premium coaxial S/PDIF digital RCA cable from Synergistic Research's Atmosphere SX family, developed for carefully matched high-fidelity audio systems. It brings the manufacturer's proprietary conductor and shielding technologies to the connection between compatible source equipment and downstream electronics.

Manufacturer construction and technology

Atmosphere Excite digital interconnects form part of the manufacturer's Level 2 SX range. Synergistic Research uses Silver Matrix digital conductors, PTFE insulating materials and UEF shielding technologies intended to reduce unwanted electrical interference around the digital link. The Excite family incorporates the maker's extended conditioning techniques and a digital-specific construction distinct from its stereo analogue interconnects.

Key features

• Digital RCA rather than stereo analogue RCA connection
• Digital-specific Silver Matrix geometry and shielding arrangement
• Synergistic Research UEF treatment and conditioning
• Standard UK price-list length of 1m
• Suitable for compatible digital transports and DACs
• Other connector formats or lengths require confirmation

What does it connect?

This model is intended for a compatible coaxial S/PDIF digital output and input, such as a CD transport connected to a DAC. An RCA-shaped connector is not proof of a digital interface: confirm the labels on both components.

Choosing the right configuration

Confirm the interface, source and destination sockets, connector orientation and required length before ordering. Kronos AV can check the full system and quote specialist terminations or additional lengths where offered. The available Shopify variants show the published UK configurations and prices inclusive of VAT.

Common questions

Will it work with every similarly shaped socket? No. The electrical interface must also be compatible. Will it automatically improve sound quality? Synergistic Research describes claimed sonic benefits from its UEF technologies; actual results will depend on the complete system, electrical environment and installation.
