Choosing your cable

Check the physical connector, the required signal type and the cable route before ordering. Allow enough slack for equipment movement without pulling on connectors.

Frequently asked questions

What does the length refer to?

The chosen length refers to each individual cable assembly, or each lead if the title specifies a pair.

Will this work with my equipment?

Not every connector or interface with a similar shape carries the same signal. Kronos AV can help confirm the correct cable and termination.

Understanding the design

A digital USB connection is defined by its host and device roles as well as the plug shape. Type-A, Type-B and Type-C connectors are not interchangeable merely because adaptors exist.

Using it in a Hi-Fi system

A computer or compatible USB host can send digital audio to a USB DAC that supports the appropriate interface. Neither the cable nor connector shape alone enables unsupported USB-audio features.

Choosing the right length or connection

Measure around furniture and along the actual route rather than the shortest straight line. Check physical connectors, equipment specifications and maximum supported run lengths.

Melodika lists a 5-year series warranty for Purple, subject to the manufacturer's current terms.

A question worth asking

Will a more expensive digital cable increase the recording resolution? No. Supported formats and resolutions are determined by the connected devices and source.
