Atlas Ailsa DIN Achromat RCA X 1.2 Subwoofer Cable

The Ailsa DIN – Achromatic X RCA is a wide-bandwidth interconnect designed to achieve the highest performance levels when integrating DIN-equipped products into a system which predominantly uses RCA connectors.

The cable configuration uses our new ‘balanced core’ geometry, a new ‘ground-up ’approach to multicore cable design, delivering a balanced flow in both the signal and return conductors. Connectors are a high-quality locking 5 pin DIN plug, optionally terminated with DIN, Achromatic X RCA plugs, or XLRs.

Incorporates our high-efficiency ‘dd’ (dual-drain) screening system, where twin symmetrical drain wires connect the screen to the cable return/plug interface. The cable can then be terminated without distorting, twisting or mechanically stressing the precision-laid screen.

Typically, screened cables suffer from screen distortion when prepared for production. Cutting and twisting the screening braid has a measurable impact, effectively changing the impedance and, therefore, the cable's performance. The benefits are maintaining a constant low impedance load to the plug and total 360° screening against noise and signal degradation caused by RFI (Radio Frequency Interference).

The result is a beautifully balanced, open, accurate, natural sound which we think, like the Ailsa Achromatic X RCA, defines a new performance standard at its price point.
