How to choose your length

Measure from amplifier to speaker along the intended path, allowing clearance for the connectors and cable bends.

Frequently asked questions

Is it suitable for my amplifier?

Confirm the speaker terminals accept banana plugs and that the conductor gauge suits the length and connected speaker load.

Understanding the design

Sky Blue speaker cables are designed around Melodika's BassCore conductor arrangement, with a polypropylene-fibre dielectric specified for the bulk speaker range. The preterminated models use Solid Grip banana connections where listed, so check that your binding posts accept those fittings.

Using it in a Hi-Fi system

The cable carries the amplified signal between an amplifier and passive loudspeakers. Choose conductor size with the speaker impedance and actual run length in mind, and ensure both ends make secure electrical contact.

Choosing the right length or connection

For finished stereo pairs, the stated length applies to each speaker cable rather than the combined total. Check banana or spade suitability, cable routes and clearance behind equipment before ordering. Some connector choices share manufacturer SKU codes and require confirmation.

Melodika lists a 5-year series warranty for Sky Blue, subject to the manufacturer's current terms.

A question worth asking

Is a larger cable gauge always better? Not necessarily. Choose gauge for the impedance and installation distance rather than assuming the largest available cable must sound best.
