Star Ground Topology

At the heart of the Olympus Powerus is a star ground design. Rather than daisy-chaining the outlets in series where each component’s ground is influenced by every other component connected before it, each of the six outlets in Olympus Powerus is wired independently back to a single central ground point. This eliminates ground loops between components and ensures that every piece of equipment in your system receives an equal, uncontaminated path to ground.

It is a simple principle, but one that makes a significant difference. Ground loops are among the most common sources of hum and noise in audio systems, and a star ground topology addresses them at the distribution level before they have a chance to affect your signal chain.

Built for Purpose

The Olympus Powerus uses an asymmetrical internal design with cabling optimised for high-frequency handling, and contains no magnetic materials, removing potential sources of interference from within the distribution block itself. The six Furutech NCF outlets are selected for their low contact resistance and resonance-damping properties, ensuring that the connection between your power cables and the distribution block is as clean and stable as possible.

There are no filters, no current-limiting circuits, no compromises. The Olympus Powerus simply delivers your mains supply to each component with as little interference and as much integrity as possible.

Grounding the Powerus

The Olympus Powerus features a copper binding post, allowing it to be connected to an Entreq ground box via an Eartha ground cable. This provides the distribution block with a dedicated ground reference, further reducing the noise floor across your entire system. For the greatest impact, pair with a Silver Tellus Tungsten or Olympus 10 T ground box.

When used alongside a Cleanus, the combination is particularly effective: the Powerus distributes clean power while the Cleanus draws high-frequency contamination away from the supply. Together with Entreq grounding, they form a comprehensive power and noise management solution.
