Marten becomes Kronos AV's reference speaker brand

Kronos AV are happily to finally bring our customers the news that we have come to an agreement with Marten to allow Kronos AV to become exclusive retailer in many areas of the UK as well as having the brand exclusively available at Kronos AV throughout Ireland. 

Martens Loudspeakers are hand built in Sweden, with exquisite attention paid to the design, finish and of course most importantly the sound.

Marten was founded by Leif Mårten Olofsson in Sweden in 1998, but the story goes back further. In the early 1900’s, Leif’s grandfather Josef Olofsson built violins using Stradivarius as a benchmark. An instrument that was played by Mårten Larsson, his maternal grandfather.

In the 70’s, Leif made his first speakers in the family home. A hobby which he was keenly interested in from an early age.

From the first speaker Mingus, the product range has grown in to Five series, a recording studio and a record label. The company was born out of passion and has grown steadily, gaining success and respect ever since.

Marten is still a family business today, run by Leif and his brothers, Jörgen and Lars Olofsson.

Richie, Head of online operations at Kronos AV commented on the announcement:

"We are very excited about the announcement with Marten.

I heard Marten speakers at the High End show in Munich a couple of years ago, and for me it was the best speaker at the show. At that time the range was more concentrated on the major high end side of things. With the introduction of the Oscar and Heritage range, the brand is now much more accessible to a larger range of customers, but also our West Sussex branch has now become a reference store, and I feel the introduction of Marten will be the perfect addition to both this store & online. I think the timing is now right, and I am really excited to start this new chapter with Marten Loudspeakers. 

As I focus on the online side of Kronos AV, when I discuss taking on a new brand, I have to be sure that they offer not only fantastic products, but also that their backup and customer support is second to none. As Marten is a family owned and operated business, I realised they truly have a passion for what they do, and they really do care about the end user. I would feel very comfortable offering their products to anyone, knowing the backup will be first class. We are well know across the UK for our distance selling abilities, and that has come through offering customers expert knowledge on the products that will truly benefit their systems, not just moving boxes. I feel that's is why Marten loudspeaker felt we could offer a fantastic service to any customer in the UK & Ireland "

We feel this growth has developed due to our product portfolio, coupled with the advice and knowledge of our UK store staff.
