A new era of British analogue engineering begins
For decades, Michell has been a cornerstone of British high-end audio — known for precision machining, timeless design, and an unrelenting pursuit of analogue perfection. Now, the company enters a bold new chapter with the announcement of two all-new turntables: the Michell Revolv and the Michell Gyro.
Both models mark a complete redesign of Michell’s engineering philosophy. They fuse heritage with cutting-edge materials and manufacturing, hand-built in the UK with aerospace-grade precision.
THE REVOLV — Precision, Redefined
Positioned between the Tecnodec and the new Gyro, the Revolv is a stunning introduction to Michell’s next-generation design language.
Machined from a single block of 19 mm aluminium tooling plate, its chassis provides exceptional rigidity and resonance control. The unsuspended design delivers tighter timing, dynamic clarity, and a direct connection to the music.
A Delrin® platter weighted with brass inserts enhances rotational stability, while Michell’s inverted bearing ensures friction-free performance. The motor and power supply are housed separately for optimal isolation, and Sorbothane isolation feet further reduce vibration transfer.
Available in elegant black or silver, the Revolv is not just a turntable — it’s an invitation to rediscover your vinyl with newfound precision and poise.
UK RRP: £3,995 (without tonearm or cartridge)
“The Revolv feels like the heartbeat of a modern analogue system — purposeful, beautifully built, and utterly musical.”
THE GYRO — The Icon Reimagined
Few turntables in hi-fi history have achieved the iconic status of the Michell Gyro. First introduced over 40 years ago, its unique suspended design became a visual and sonic benchmark.
Now, the legend returns — completely re-engineered from the ground up.
The new Gyro retains its unmistakable silhouette but introduces a precision-machined chassis, milled from solid aluminium rather than cast. This major upgrade drastically improves rigidity, damping, and long-term stability.
Its double-helix bearing ensures ultra-smooth rotation, while the re-tuned suspension system isolates vibration with pinpoint accuracy. The motor pod and power supply are external, housed in beautifully machined billets for clean power delivery and improved speed control.
The result? A sound that’s both deeply analogue and remarkably precise — the Gyro is once again the turntable that defines what vinyl playback should be.
UK RRP: £5,995 (without tonearm or cartridge)
“The Gyro is not just a reissue — it’s a renaissance. Every detail has been refined, every component rethought.”
THE LEGACY CONTINUES
With the Revolv and Gyro, Michell reinforces its place at the forefront of British hi-fi. These new models embody everything the brand stands for — craftsmanship, longevity, and musical truth.
For long-time vinyl lovers, they represent the next step in a lifelong passion. For those discovering Michell for the first time, they offer an extraordinary introduction to what makes the company special: engineering you can feel, and music that moves you.
Two new turntables. One unmistakable legacy.
The sound of British analogue, reborn.
