Built for Better.
Kronos AV has never been a company that stands still.
For more than a generation, we have continued to invest, evolve and look for better ways to serve our customers. As the business has grown, so too have the demands placed on everything behind the scenes — from warehousing and fulfilment to technical preparation, specialist packaging, content creation and long-term customer support.
The new Kronos AV E-Com Centre is the next major step in that journey.
It is a purpose-built facility bringing together fully stock-controlled warehousing, dedicated fulfilment and packaging departments, specialist high-end preparation facilities, turntable build and service areas, a full content studio, photography facilities, podcast and lounge spaces, and areas designed specifically for sitting down with the people behind the products we sell.
It is a major investment in the future of Kronos AV — and, more importantly, in the experience our customers receive.
The Original Idea Behind Kronos AV Online
When Kronos AV founder David began developing the online side of the business with his son Richie, there was one fundamental rule:
The online experience had to match the in-store experience.
Someone unable to visit one of our stores should never feel that they were receiving a lesser version of Kronos AV.
They should still receive genuine advice. They should still be able to speak to people who understand the products. Their order should still be prepared with care. And they should still know that support is available after the sale.
The new E-Com Centre is one of the biggest investments we have made in delivering on that promise.
Our physical stores remain an incredibly important part of Kronos AV. They are where customers can listen, compare products, talk to our team and experience systems properly.
The E-Com Centre doesn't replace that experience.
It allows us to take more of what makes the in-store Kronos AV experience special and extend it to customers who may never be able to walk through our doors.
Every Order Matters
As our business has grown, the range of products we handle has grown with it.
Some orders may involve a small accessory. Others may involve extremely delicate turntables, heavyweight electronics or loudspeakers worth tens of thousands of pounds.
But the value of an order does not determine the level of care it receives.
Every Kronos AV order is treated with the same care and attention.
What the new E-Com Centre gives us is the ability to use the right tools, facilities and processes for the product in front of us.
Our dedicated online fulfilment and packaging departments allow everyday orders to be prepared efficiently and carefully, while our specialist preparation areas give the team additional facilities when a product requires reinforced packing, custom protection, palletisation or more complex handling.
It isn't about treating one customer as more important than another.
It is about making sure that every product is handled in the way that is appropriate for it.
Fully Stock-Controlled Warehousing
At the heart of the facility is our new fully stock-controlled warehousing operation.
Better stock control means our team can locate products more quickly, manage incoming and outgoing stock more accurately and provide customers with better information when they need it.
Combined with our dedicated order preparation and fulfilment areas, the aim is straightforward:
greater accuracy, faster dispatch and better support.
These are improvements that happen behind the scenes, but they directly affect the experience our customers receive.
Specialist Packaging — When the Product Demands It
The high-end side of Kronos AV has grown considerably, and some of the products we now handle require specialist knowledge even before they leave the building.
A very large loudspeaker cannot be treated in the same way as a small boxed accessory. A delicate turntable may require additional internal protection. Heavy electronics may require reinforced packaging or specialist freight preparation.
Our new specialist packaging facilities give our team the space, equipment and materials required to deal with those situations properly.
But the philosophy remains exactly the same:
care isn't reserved for expensive products — specialist products simply sometimes require specialist tools.
Dedicated Turntable Build, Setup & Service Areas
Turntables have been part of Kronos AV for decades, and the new facility gives this hugely important part of the business a dedicated home.
Our specialist turntable areas have been designed for everything from new-product preparation and inspection through to complete setup, cartridge installation, alignment, servicing, fault finding and repair.
It means our specialists can work in a controlled environment with the correct equipment around them rather than treating turntable preparation as simply another stage of packing an order.
That gives us the ability to spend the appropriate amount of time checking, adjusting and preparing a turntable before it reaches its new owner.
And when customers need support further down the line, the same facilities are there to help.
Bringing You Closer to Kronos AV
One of the most exciting parts of the E-Com Centre is our completely new approach to content.
We don't want our website to be nothing more than product photographs, specifications and prices.
We want customers to be able to see the products properly, understand them and get closer to the people behind them.
The new facility therefore includes a full filming studio and dedicated photography area, allowing our team to create detailed product videos, demonstrations, comparisons, setup guides, close-up photography, new-product previews and behind-the-scenes content entirely in-house.
For customers, this means much better access to the details that can be difficult to appreciate from standard manufacturer material.
The finish of a cabinet.
The way a control works.
The connections on the rear of an amplifier.
The differences between two cartridges.
How a turntable is assembled.
What actually changes when you move from one model to another.
Our aim is to make online HiFi more informative, more transparent and more personal.
A Place for Conversations
The content side of the E-Com Centre goes beyond a traditional studio.
We are also developing a dedicated podcast and lounge area, alongside a relaxed coffee space.
These areas are designed to give us somewhere to sit down with artists, manufacturers, designers, reviewers, engineers and other people from across the audio industry.
Not every useful conversation needs to happen across a demonstration table.
Sometimes you learn far more by sitting down over a coffee and asking someone why they designed a product in a particular way, what they were trying to achieve, what they listen for, or where they believe audio is heading next.
We want to have more of those conversations — and, importantly, allow our customers to be part of them.
The result should be better information, better insight and content that goes far beyond simply repeating a manufacturer's specification sheet.
A Multi-Generational Business Investing in the Future
Kronos AV is a multi-generational family business, and that has an important influence on the decisions we make.
We aren't building the E-Com Centre around the next few months.
We are investing for the years ahead.
When someone buys a serious HiFi system, particularly from an independent specialist, part of what they are buying is the reassurance that the company behind it will still be there when they need advice, servicing, upgrades or support in the future.
That matters to us.
The next generation of Kronos AV is already actively involved in developing the business, while the experience and knowledge accumulated over decades remains at its heart.
This investment is therefore as much about continuity as it is about growth.
We want customers to buy from Kronos AV knowing that we are not winding things down or standing still.
We are investing in what comes next.
Not Standing Still
It would be easy to continue doing things the way they have always been done.
That's never really been the Kronos AV approach.
We constantly ask how we can improve the experience for our customers, whether that means introducing new technology, improving fulfilment, investing in specialist technical facilities, creating better information or simply finding a better way of doing something that has been done the same way for years.
The E-Com Centre brings many of those ideas together under one roof.
It represents what we believe is a new approach to specialist HiFi retail — combining the knowledge and personal service of a traditional specialist retailer with the infrastructure, technology and content capabilities customers increasingly expect today.
And we're nowhere near finished.
The Stores Remain at the Heart of Kronos AV
The growth of our online business does not mean moving away from our stores.
Quite the opposite.
Our listening rooms and stores remain where customers can sit down with our team, hear products properly and experience HiFi in a way that no website or video can replicate.
The E-Com Centre supports that.
It gives the wider business better infrastructure while allowing our stores to concentrate on what they do best: demonstrations, advice, system building and personal service.
Whether you visit us in person or deal with Kronos AV entirely online, our goal is ultimately the same.
You should feel that you are dealing with Kronos AV — not simply a website processing an order.
Built for What Comes Next
The new Kronos AV E-Com Centre represents a substantial investment.
But it is not about becoming bigger simply for the sake of being bigger.
It is about becoming better equipped to look after our customers.
Better stock control.
Better fulfilment.
Better facilities for preparing specialist equipment.
Better technical support.
Better content.
Better access to the people behind the products.
And greater confidence that Kronos AV will continue to be here, investing, evolving and supporting its customers for the future.
Welcome to the new Kronos AV E-Com Centre.
