AVID Unleashes the Relveo: A New Era of Analogue Excellence Begins After 12 Years

The wait is finally over for analogue enthusiasts! AVID, the esteemed British founder-owned-and-run hi-fi manufacturer, has officially announced the launch of their brand-new turntable, the Relveo. This highly anticipated release marks a significant milestone for AVID, being their first entirely new turntable design in a remarkable 12 years.

Coinciding with AVID's 30th anniversary, the Relveo is a testament to three decades of relentless innovation and engineering without compromise. Designed, engineered, and meticulously handmade in Cambridgeshire, England, the Relveo is more than just a new product; it's a bold statement that distils AVID's acclaimed pedigree into a truly modern masterpiece.

Conrad Mas, AVID's visionary founder, owner, and CEO, describes the Relveo as embodying "everything AVID stands for: engineering without compromise, enduring beauty, and a profound connection to music." This ground-up design introduces a suite of cutting-edge features aimed at elevating the vinyl listening experience to new heights.

Key among its advancements is a newly developed conical, resiliently-coupled suspension system, providing superior isolation and stability while simplifying setup for users. The Relveo also boasts a high-mass, precision-machined platter and a separately housed DSP-controlled power supply, meticulously refined for accurate speed and enhanced musicality.

The Relveo is available in two configurations:

  • Relveo with AVID's multi-award-winning Altus V2 tonearm: Priced at £6,900. The Altus V2 itself inherits technology from AVID's reference tonearms, featuring micron-tolerance bearings and a unique dual adjustable bias compensation system.

  • Relveo (bare, without tonearm): Available for £5,500, allowing audiophiles to pair it with their tonearm of choice.

This exciting announcement promises to redefine expectations for turntable performance in its class, offering AVID's signature precision, robust build quality, and a profound connection to the music.
