Synergistic Research Foundation SX USB Cable

Synergistic Research Foundation SX USB Cable

Foundation SX USB is a specialist USB digital-audio connection for suitable computers, music servers, streamers and USB DACs. It is intended for a direct USB source-to-device link, not for Ethernet networking or analogue audio.

Manufacturer design and technology

The manufacturer says Foundation SX USB uses geometry related to its Atmosphere SX and Galileo Discovery USB cables. It adds an SRX-developed UEF compound and prolonged high-voltage treatment, along with model-specific shielding. These materials and processes are presented as helping the cable's electromagnetic behaviour around sensitive digital playback components; USB data format and electrical compatibility remain governed by the connected equipment.

Key features

• Part of the Synergistic Research Foundation SX hi-fi cable family
• Manufacturer-specified UEF electromagnetic shield treatment
• SRX-derived factory conditioning process
• Designed for a specific electrical or audio interface rather than universal connection
• Full UK retail pricing shown in the existing length/connector variants

How to choose the right cable

Check the USB connector at both ends. Many hi-fi DACs use USB-B, while computers and servers can present USB-A or USB-C. The existing Shopify length variants should be checked against your system and the supported USB standard, particularly for longer runs or bus-powered devices. Kronos AV can confirm the appropriate build before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Does a different USB cable unlock unsupported high-resolution formats? No. Format support is determined by the audio hardware, software and the USB interface.
