Frequently asked questions

Which length should I choose?

Measure along your intended installation route and allow enough slack for safe cable positioning. Please select the length before checkout.

Is this suitable for my equipment?

Check both connector ends and the required signal type. The Kronos AV team can help with compatibility if your system is unusual.

Kronos AV advice

Choose correctly terminated cables of a suitable length and gauge for the installation. A cable is not a substitute for correct equipment setup or speaker positioning.

Understanding the design

A digital USB connection is defined by its host and device roles as well as the plug shape. Type-A, Type-B and Type-C connectors are not interchangeable merely because adaptors exist.

Using it in a Hi-Fi system

A computer or compatible USB host can send digital audio to a USB DAC that supports the appropriate interface. Neither the cable nor connector shape alone enables unsupported USB-audio features.

Choosing the right length or connection

Measure around furniture and along the actual route rather than the shortest straight line. Check physical connectors, equipment specifications and maximum supported run lengths.

Melodika lists a 5-year series warranty for Purple, subject to the manufacturer's current terms.

A question worth asking

Will a more expensive digital cable increase the recording resolution? No. Supported formats and resolutions are determined by the connected devices and source.
