The Matrix Audio SI-1 Audio Grade Network Isolator is designed to provide optical-electrical isolation between an Ethernet network and a high-performance streaming audio system. It is particularly relevant in systems where network infrastructure and sensitive hi-fi equipment share a listening environment.
Active network isolation
The SI-1 uses active optical transmission paths to separate connected Ethernet devices and break direct electrical continuity, reducing the opportunity for noise and ground-related interference to pass between them. Dedicated send and receive paths, dual femtosecond clocks and a linear power supply support the isolator's precision-focused design.
Designed for audio systems
The SI-1 provides one 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 network input and one isolated 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 output. A CNC-machined aluminium enclosure, front status indicators and switchable rear Ethernet LEDs complete the practical design.
