DIGITAL / ANALOGUE ISOLATION

The TERMINATOR 15th features complete isolation between the Digital Processing Board and the R-2R ladder network arrays. This design, physically linked by the OCXO module, minimizes noise and enhances the signal-to-noise ratio.

OVEN-CONTROLLED CRYSTAL OSCILLATORS - OCXO

Equipped with dual OCXOs at 45.1584 MHz and 49.152 MHz, the TERMINATOR 15th ensures ultra-low phase noise and exceptional accuracy. These OCXOs are housed in a metal casing and powered by a specially designed, shielded power supply for optimal stability.

ADAPTIVE FIFO BUFFER RECLOCKING

The adaptive FIFO buffer stores digital audio data, which is read using the ultra-low phase noise OCXOs. This data is converted to analog signals by true balanced R-2R ladder network arrays, with high-precision resistors ensuring linearity.

HIGH PRECISION OCXO CLOCK-OUT

The Terminator 15th features a high-precision OCXO clock-out, designed to synchronize with various audio frequencies.

THE FOUNDATION OF SUPERIOR SOUND

A dedicated Linear Power Supply Unit is encased in a robust 1.5mm thick metal alloy enclosure. An additional steel plate divider between the DAC motherboard and the PSU box enhances EMI/EMF shielding.
