The brand new Purple Fuse is Synergistic Research's latest flagship fuse, surpassing the performance of the remarkable Orange fuses thanks to a new, three-stage conditioning process and a new premium graphene UEF compound to reduce the noise floor further than has ever been possible for Synergistic Research fuses. Fast-blow fuses should be used where the equipment is sensitive to the flow of electricity, allowing a prompt reaction to any surges in order to protect equipment like Pre-Amps, DACs and TVs. When installing your new fuse, please ensure you test the fuse in both directions as they are directional from left to right. When the fuse is inserted in the correct direction it will sound more detailed.

What Synergistic Research say

The new Purple Fuse surpasses the Orange Fuse with technology initially developed for their state-of-the-art SRX Series cables. In fact, before two last-minute breakthrough SRX technologies, Synergistic Research could not better the Orange Fuse with its impossible combination of detail and rich harmonic musicality. As a result, they were set to forgo a new fuse introduction for 2022 as they could not build anything better sounding than Orange despite two years of trying. It was not until SR finalized two new technologies, namely a three-stage long duration high voltage conditioning process and a brand new UEF compound featuring Graphene, that they were able to beat the Orange Fuse significantly. Together these new technologies create a larger soundstage with better image focus and higher resolution from a perceived lowering of the noise floor. Of all the fuse generations and refinements pioneered over the past decade, the new Purple Fuses are by far the best sounding and take the single greatest leap in performance over previous generations.
