Pro-Ject's Debut III S Audiophile Turntable hits the ground running with What HiFi 5 Stars!!

Pro-Ject's Debut III S Audiophile Turntable hits the ground running with What HiFi 5 Stars!!

We don't want to sound presumptuous but we sort of saw this coming!

We are of course joking, but it was no surprise when we read the news that the Debut III S Audiophile turntable walked away with a 5-star review form its latest review with What HiFi. The Debut III's most noteworthy component is its S-shaped tonearm, something I am sure we have all seen on many turntables, but not one that is £324.99!!

Sticking with the tonearm, it is an aluminum construction, so is lightweight which allows it to navigate records with ease. It, of course, matches up to Pro-Ject's fantastic quality standards, but may I just say, it looks rather awesome too!!

Accompanying the stylish tonearm is a brand new Ortofon Pick-IT 25 A which is exclusively designed for Pro-Ject Audio Systems. Based on Ortofons very successful and popular OM range, the styling is very similar, but the Pick It has a very striking blue shell but incorporates silver spools to offer superior sound reproduction.

The Pick-it 25 a sticks to the OM Range's choice of moving magnet configuration and comes pre-installed with the Debut III S so there is no tricky and nerve-jangling set-up required.

The Debut III S keeps the main body and workings from its multi award-winning Debut Line, if it isn't broken, don't fix it eh? This includes the same belt-drive motor, AC generator, and 12” platter assembly as the award-winning Debut Carbon model for a silent, stable record rotation.

Adding to this the Debut III S uses aluminum/TPE isolation feet, which is inspired by Pro-Ject's more expensive ranges, to isolate the turntable form vibrations.

This turntable is also the first to incorporate Pro-Ject's new "P" logo, after their recent brand redesign! Does that then make it somewhat of an investment? Maybe so!

So that is the basic of this stunning turntbale, but why not find out what What HiFi had to say. Click the link below to read the whole review:
